Training Your Dog When your Pressed for Time
Remember a well-trained dog is a happy dog.
When your dog is well trained they are considered good citizens and are welcome in many places. They get to go on walks, play and run at the doggy parks (no one likes a dog that is aggressive or mean), and go on rides in the car with the family. That is why it is important to train your dog properly, even if your time is short for training.
Here are some easy-and quick daily training suggestions:

- A few minutes before taking your puppy for a walk, run through a few basic commands: praise him only when he's done them correctly. After the final exercise, tell him to "sit" and get his leash.
- If your dog gets overexcited when you get his leash, ignore him until he settles down. Only put the leash on him when he calms down.
- At mealtime, don't let your dog beg at the table. Give him a hollow toy filled with food that will occupy him while your family has a nice, disturbance-free meal together.
- Every time you are about to let your dog in or out a door, ask him to "sit" before opening the door. you are the master, and your position needs to be reinforced by being the first one to enter or leave a room or building.

Smokies Christmas wish
I just saw a collar I want for Christmas. See the Pink one that's for me. A good collar is important to my sense of security when we start to go for walks. Do you see one dog collar that you like. Let me know.
Looking for a New Pet Bed
Good Morning friends. This is my friend Precious and me hanging out on the couch. She has so much energy and wears me out. Today we are going to find me a new bed. I want one that is big and soft. I think we are going to look at Lucy"s Dog House. They are suppose to have all kinds of stuff like beds and leashed and collars and maybe a new toy....

Welcome to Smokies Puppy Page
Hello I am a 11 week old chiwauwau mix. I love the color pink but dont like to wear my collar. Mom put a bell on it so she can hear where I am at. In the coming days I will be checking out all kinds of stores and books so to learn everything I can.
Please feel free to comment I would like to hear from other puppy's and what they are doing, what parks are good to visit, how about some goody treats and maybe a trick or two.
Pooty training is the big one for me right now. Getting confined to a room. I dont like it at all. Want my freedom to chase the cat (Kitkat) and find all my toys. What is your favorite toy?
